Previously working in the hospital emergency room, Krystal Angevine worked alongside physicians to help people with panic attacks. Since then, she has developed a novel and effective approach specifically for the treatment of panic attacks and related anxiety. The Biofeedback Counseling Center is one of the few clinics in the country using a Capnometer in the treatment of Panic Attacks. In addition to standard therapy sessions, we offer Panic Attack Intensive therapy, which involves 2-3 hours of therapy on two consecutive days.
IFS Therapy is a deep way of understanding our inner lives and healing the "child within". It is more than just a therapeutic technique; it is a conceptual framework and practice for developing love and acceptance for ourselves and each other. By working with their "internal parts" through IFS, many people have reported more joy, confidence, self-compassion, and improved relationships.
SE Trauma Therapy is a way to help the body release trauma and restore its natural flow and wellness. This therapy has been used for survivors of the holocaust, 911, auto accidents, war, rape, assault, and many other traumatic events. In addition, SE can be helpful for high activation states associated with panic attacks and anxiety.
EMDR Therapy is a highly researched approach that can help patients reprocess difficult or traumatic memories, and change the way you respond to emotional triggers in your life.
Biofeedback allows you to see how your body responds to your thoughts and emotions in real time. For example, you can learn to calm your breathing and heart rate, which in turn can help to calm your mind and build self-awareness of your internal state.
